“It was fantastic, I'm very happy that I chose it for my body, it was tailored for each participant. It also fascinated my 9-year-old daughter, every morning she likes to do an 8-minute hormone yoga warm-up. 🧘‍♀️

It warms up and activates the entire energy system in the body, after a few days you feel much more the pelvic floor, not to mention the whole hormonal balance.

It's simple and the entire sequence takes only about 30 minutes.

I have been practicing yoga techniques for a few years now, but hormonal yoga therapy has completely different dynamics and effect on the body and mind, I highly recommend it to everyone.”

“Hormone yoga therapy with Terezka was what finally opened up the door to the world of yoga for me.

For years I’ve been wanting to try different types of yoga, but always ended up making excuses - until the quarantine hit. I got to know Terezka and her amazing online class. I have some health issues that I went over with her and we agreed that this course could help me overcome them.

That’s exactly what happened. The course is very well designed. All the supporting materials are simple and comprehensible. Terezka’s approach is professional and friendly. She is always willing to accommodate her clients’ needs. ❤️I highly recommend it. ❤️”

FAQs

What are the main benefits of this yoga?

Originally, Hormone Yoga Therapy was developed for women having unpleasant menopausal symptoms. Soon enough it was discovered that it had a positive effect on many more conditions like hypothyroidism, polycystic ovaries, carpal tunnel syndrome, PMS, migraines, infertility. Find the complete list of benefits here.

Will I be able to learn the whole sequence properly?

Yes, the purpose of the training is to teach you each and every posture so you are confident to practise it anytime.

Will online classes do the trick?

We all miss personal contact sometimes! Even if this element will be missing from our classes, you will have a 110% of my attention and verbal guidance when needed, so we make sure you learn all the postures correctly.

Is this yoga suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. No matter if you're an experienced yogi or you have never been to a yoga class, this is not your usual type of yoga. You do not have to be flexible or have any previous experience with yoga. Adjustments of some postures might be necessary on the way depending on what your body requires but hormone yoga therapy can be learned by pretty much any woman.

Are there any contraindications to practising hormone yoga therapy?

Yes. Some might require slight adjustments of the postures and some skipping a whole part, or even stopping the practise all together. The number one contraindication is pregnancy. Hormone Yoga Therapy has wonderful results with helping women to conceive but once they find out they're pregnant, the practise is stopped until after the labour. Learn about more contraindications here.

What if I am too lazy to practise the sequence at home?

We all know this one! It can take one to three months to create a new habit but once it's installed, you don't even think about it anymore. Plus, there are more options like making it a special occasion so it's something you look forward to doing or practising with a friend. You are doing something amazing for your body. Celebrate!

How is it different from the usual hatha yoga classes?

Hormone Yoga has a specific purpose and it was designed as a mixture of dynamic repetitive postures coming from kundalini, hatha yoga and Tibetan energy techniques to have a strong therapeutic effect on woman's hormonal system.

How often should Hormone Yoga Therapy be practised?

Dinah Rodrigues recommends practising 3 times per week to all women over 35 years old as a prevention. Each body and condition is different, so you will find out with practise what works best for you.

Are there any age restrictions?

Hormone Yoga Therapy can be practised from the age of adolescence in case of problems with menstrual cycles. The oldest woman still practising this yoga is probably Dinah Rodrigues, the founder, who is more than 90 years old!

Can Hormone Yoga Therapy be only practised by women?

This sequence was specifically designed for womens’ bodies, however, there are two other types of hormone yoga: for men and for people suffering from diabetes. The postures are different and it was also Dinah who designed them. I myself am not trained in the other two types of hormone yoga but you can find another qualified teacher.
